Congratulations!

Signing up for State Testing

Once you have successfully completed your classes and have your certificate in hand, we would be happy to assist you in signing up for your state test examination.  You have 24 months from the date on your certificate in which to successfully pass your state test.

You may choose to test at our site or you may choose any other location in the state that offers state testing.

To choose our site, bring in your correctly completed state test documents and a copy of your current certificate and CASH ONLYThere are NO REFUNDS.  While we do our best to accomodate your requests for a particular test time, we fill the 8:30am morning flight first and then the 1pm afternoon flight.  Seven slots are available for each flight; up to 10 people are permitted to take (re-take) the written/computerized test in each flight.

To choose another site, simply go to hdmaster.com and choose an available test location and date.  We would be happy to fax your paperwork in for you, however, you will need to use a debit or credit card for this registration and we cannot guarantee receipt of your materials by D and S nor can we guarantee availability of any test dates/times or locations.  You MUST make sure you have CONFIRMATION of your test date at least FIVE days prior to your testing date.  If you do not have a confirmation email or notice by mail, please contact D and S IMMEDIATELY to determine the problem, otherwise you may show up on test day and find out you were not registered.

Employment Opportunities

We ask that our students attempt to find employment on their own. We strongly recommend that you start by applying for employment where you completed your clinicals.  However, if assistance is needed we are here to help!

We have created an employer listings web page for our graduates. Once our graduates have their STNA licenses and need our assistance for potential employment, we will provide them with a link to this site.   This web page will constantly be updated with information of employers who have given us their permission to link their web sites to ours.  With permission, employers who have either hired our graduates or employers willing to accept applications from our graduates will be linked to our website.

Ohio Nurse Aide Registry

Once you pass your Ohio state test, you should be able to locate your information at the website below.

https://odhgateway.odh.ohio.gov/nar/nar_registry_search.aspx

Please note the expiration of your state license so that you ensure you complete all the requirements PRIOR to expiration.  You also want to make sure your employer reports your hours worked under a licensed nurse or physician to the state on your behalf.  Remember: you need to work one 8-hour shift in the 24 month period AND complete 24 hours of continuing education (12 units per year) if you work in a skilled long term care facility or meet the annual training, per policy, of any other organization for which you work AND ensure your employer reports your information ot the state in order to maintain your state license for the state of Ohio.  Please talk to your nurse instructor about any questions you may have about maintaining it once you obtain your Ohio license.
