1. |
How much is the TOTAL cost of the program? |
This is an excellent question to ask as you shop for the best program for you. The TOTAL cost of our program is ONLY $395. This includes everything listed on page 1 of this website. In addition, we offer our graduates FREE skill review practice with a nurse every other Thursday evening AND we have 7 different versions of written practice tests that gradutes may take anytime the classroom is open-also free of charge! You will not be asked to pay one more penny to complete your program. care4you2 IS certified by the State of Ohio. |
Is the State Test a separate fee? |
Yes. The typical state test fee is $100 (and $5 to fax the registration) and is explained in detail on this site on the State Test page/tab. |
How long do I have to take the state test once I complete the course and receive my certificate? |
You have 24 months to take and pass your state test in order to be considered a STNA (State Tested Nursing Assistant). care4you2 IS a state test site, however testing is open ONLY to our graduates. |
What is the difference between a STNA and a CNA? |
Once you complete a state certified nurse aide training program in the state of Ohio, you are considered a Nurse Aide. A STNA means that the nurse aide has taken and successfully passed the state examination and is now licensed in the State of Ohio as a State Tested Nursing Assistant. Some states, like Michigan, call their state tested Nurse Aides CNA's (Certified Nurse Aides). The State of Ohio does not recognize "CNA" as a designation for a nurse aide. |
Does care4you2 include CPR/First Aid training with your STNA classes? |
While CPR/AED and First Aid are not a part of the STNA training program, care4you2 does offer a variety of ASHI (Ameican Safety and Health Institute) CPR/AED and First Aid classes. Anyone currently signed up for, taking or graduated from a care4you2 STNA program will receive a student discount off our already low training costs (see the current offerings, dates and prices on the CPR/First Aid tab). Our highly recommended classes are scheduled frequently and now, a portion of the class may be completed online. |
Do you offer a variety of classes? |
Yes. We have a full-time day class, 8:30am to 5pm (classroom hours), for 2 weeks; a part-time day class, 9am to 2:30pm (classroom hours), for 3 weeks; and an evening/weekend Combo class, Fridays 5p-9:15p and Saturday and Sundays from 8am to 5pm (classroom hours) for 4 weekends. Clinical hours are typically 6am to 3pm and are held on 2 of the days you are normally scheduled for class. See the Class Schedule tab for details. |

What are the pre-requisites? Do I need a high school diploma or GED to take the class? |
There are no educational prerequisites. No you do not have to have a high school diploma or GED however we strongly encourage people without it to pursue that education as many employers may require such. |

I've called around to check out other programs. Why is care4you2 the one I should choose? |
Simply put, we're the best!
- We were approached by the University of Pheonix, after they researched us and compared us to other programs in the area. Due to the high quality of our program and our high pass rate amongst other things, we were offered an agreement whereby our students can receive a full semester of college credit with the University of Pheonix when they take our STNA classes.
- We have such an excellent reputation with several local employers due to the quality of the employees they get when they hire care4you2 graduates that we frequently receive calls from employers who request our graduates apply with them.
- We are fully invested in the success of our students. Once a person graduates from care4you2 STNA classes, they do not pay for any additional practice time needed but can practice with us as frequently as they like to build their confidence, skills and understanding of the basic concepts so that they can be as successful as possible when they take the state test.
- We constantly evaluate and re-evaluate our program to give the student the absolute best quality learning materials and education possible.
- We listen to our students! Each student is given the opportunity to evaluate the program and make suggestions for a better program. When our students provide constructive criticism, we are able to learn from them, grow and continue to offer an even more excllent program.
- care4you2 does not charge students for missed time/days needing to be made up nor do we remove people from the program for missing time/days*. Though we discourage missing any time, the nurses have been known to work well with students who have valid reasons for missing time. (*The State of Ohio REQUIRES that students make up all time, hour for hour, within 60 days from the first date of any missed time or the student must start a program all over again if they wish to sit for the STNA examination.)

Does care4you2 guarantee or help with job placement? |
We do NOT guarantee job placement. We have no idea what your past employers would say about you as to whether you would be a good candidate for particular employment. While care4you2 does not "place" you in a job, we have employers who have asked that care4you2 graduates apply with them. You are provided with this information the day you receive your certificate. |
